Paul George At The Brink Of Superstardom At The NBA
It appears that Paul George, the Most Improved Player of the NBA for 2013, may be at the verge of becoming an elite player in the league coming into Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. This claim may be cemented if he leads the Indiana Pacers to a victory against the Miami Heat.
He has come close to matching Lebron James of the Heat during the series, which may be enough for him to be considered as among the best in the league. Although the averages of James are remarkable during the conference finals, Paul George is not far off as he has been averaging 21.5 points, 5.8 rebounds along with 5.3 assists in the series. In comparison, James has been scoring 28.5 points during the series to go with his 7.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
He is expected to have another big game, as he attempts to bring the Pacers into the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Many NBA fans are supporting George and the Pacers as they go up against James and the Heat. It will be a case of fans supporting an underdog against a team that is expected to reach the NBA Finals.
If George is able to bring the title into Indiana, it will be the first title for the team ever since the ABA era in the 70s. It will also put Paul George in the same status as Reggie Miller during his time as a Pacer.
For the moment, George will have to win the seventh game of the conference finals before he will have to think about a possible series with the Western Conference champions, the San Antonio Spurs.
However, if Paul George will lead his team to a victory against the talent-laden Miami Heat, he will definitely become one of the select few superstars of the NBA.
