Latest Nokia Lumia Smartphone May Be Launched On July 11
Nokia gave the most obvious hint about the latest Nokia Lumia smartphone featuring a 41MP camera through a recent blog post. The company hinted that the device may be introduced during a press event scheduled on July 11.
The phone manufacturer indicated that the upcoming event is set to be webcast throughout the world. Although the webcast was the main focus of the blog post, an image on the post that invited fans to see what was happening on July 11 also showed, “41 Million Reasons.”
The image is the most obvious hint that the company gave on the features of its upcoming smartphone offering. The tagline appears to indicate that the Finnish company will finally launch its latest Nokia Lumia smartphone that features a 41MP PureView camera.
Reports about the upcoming smartphone with the powerful camera initially emerged last February. The sources of the report were supposedly close to Nokia and the company was set on offering a 41MP PureView sensor for its Windows Phone-powered Lumia smartphones. The reported device was supposedly given the codenames EOS.
The 41MP sensor was initially introduced by Nokia during the 2012 Mobile World Congress. It was used on a PureView 808 that uses the Symbian OS.
The PureView camera system offers extremely high resolution images. It also has the capability of combining a maximum of seven pixels and removing visual noise that is normally found on the cameras of other mobile devices. The PureView technology is used on the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Lumia 928. However, the cameras of these two devices only have a maximum resolution of 8.7 megapixels.
The upcoming event of Nokia will be held in New York and will be broadcast live through conversations.nokia.com. Industry watchers are eagerly waiting for the launch of the latest Nokia Lumia smartphone that may feature the 41MP camera.
