Chris Brown Charged With Hit And Run
Controversial singer Chris Brown, was charged this Tuesday with a hit and run and driving without a license after being involved in an accident in the San Fernando Valley in the 21st of May.
The musician risks a one year jail sentence is he is found guilty and convicted. Charges were filled at the Los Angeles city attorney’s office, however, the county attorney’s office will also be involved to determine if the charges Brown faces will affect his felony probation that he is serving after violently assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna, back in 2009.
Brown seems to be convinced that the whole issue is false, and he even took to Twitter to say the claims are bogus. He said that while the accident did happen, he only exchanged information with the driver, and even took a picture showing that there was no damage to either car, after the incident.
The musician wrote “NO damage, … Just a dirty car, once again, I gotta clear my name”. Brown also said via Twitter that the driver contacted the cops with the thought of receiving some sort of compensation from the artist.
If the hit and run charges stick, Chris Brown could add another blemish to his rap sheet after fights with Danny Ocean and Drake, and a violent moment with a valet.
