New “Arrested Development” Season In The Works

Although the initial effort of Netflix to revive “Arrested Development” over the net had a subdued reception, the video-streaming firm is reportedly working on releasing another season of the series.

Netflix is reportedly negotiating with Image Entertainment on the possibility of releasing another season of the series through the internet, according to Brian Grazer, the production company co-chairman. Grazer said that the two companies are talking with each other and are interested in releasing a new season of the series.

Netflix also revealed that it was interested in releasing a new season of “Arrested Development.” The series was aired on Fox TV for three seasons before it was cancelled in 2006.

Joris Evers, a representative of Netflix, indicated that the company said before that it was interested in releasing a new season of the show, if logistics would allow them to do so. The company is still committed to the project.

When the show went to Netflix last May, it was able to create a good amount of interest. However, it had a rather lukewarm reception from the audience. The show was ruined with the Netflix venture, according to the New York Times. Shares went down by 6.4 percent due to the unenthusiastic reception.

Despite the reviews, the CEO of Netflix, Reed Hastings indicated that the company has a long-term plan for the series. He said that the company is not looking at day-one ratings. He added that the initial reaction to “Arrested Development” matched the expectations of Netflix.
