While it may seem a somewhat unusual pairing, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake will start their tour together this Wednesday in Toronto, Canada, a tour that will last until the 16th of August.
The pairing is unusual especially when we consider the careers the two artists have had, with Jay-Z being one of the leading voices of hip-hop in the last two decades while Justin Timberlake going for a much more pop oriented music style.
While one thing the two have in common is producer Timberland’s magic touch when it comes to their latest albums, “The 20/20 Experience” and “Magna Carta Holy Grail”, the biggest common thread is good marketing skills.
Even with the huge followings bith artist have, a pairing like this can help them achieve higher ticket sales and fill stadiums in parts of the country where individually they might not have managed to.
Analysts say that the “Legends of the Summer” tour will be a success and as neither artist has spent too much time on the road in recent years there is a clear demand for them.
The best news regarding the Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake tour as far as fans are concerned is that even though they reached a huge following, both artists are still eager to try new things and unexpected partnerships while offering their fans their new albums.
