“The Wolverine” Unrated Version Release Planned
“The Wolverine” director James Mangold revealed that it is not possible for a movie to be bloodless when the main character has razor-sharp knives used in stabbing people. Since he wanted the movie to show traditional brawling, he was expecting the movie to be violent.
He said the he was surprised that the movie was able to get a PG-13 rating without annihilating it. The movie starring Hugh Jackman showed traditional sword fights, and they were able to avoid showing extreme violence associated with guns.
“The Wolverine” movie is based on the 1982 limited edition series of Frank Miller and Chris Claremont entitled “Wolverine.” The comic showed the main character travelling to Japan to get in touch with the woman he loved. He gets mixed up in a war between the Yakuza and a ninja clan. The story has Wolverine fighting katana-wielding warriors. However, a number of scenes had to be trimmed out of the movie.
Due to this, there may be some extra scenes that will come out on an unrated version of the movie. It shows the character of Jackman getting implausibly pumped up as his body count increases. The idea of an unrated of the movie may increase its hype among fans of the character.
The locations on “The Wolverine” are new, such as a crowded street in Japan and outside the bullet train. Wolverine battles formidable opponents like Harada and the Viper. A number of fans have longed to see more of Wolverine on the big screen following the first appearance of the character on the “X-Men” in 2000. Mangold answered their prayers, and indicated that there are more action scenes than what came out on the big screen recently.
He indicated that a bigger fight that is set in the ice village may be shown to fans. This scene in “The Wolverine” movie shows the main character meeting the men of Harada.
