Especially as the whole sushi experience has grown geometrically in America, becoming from an oddity or something only hardcore foodies would enjoy into one of the most popular types of delicacies. Also the whole eating experience is enjoyable and filled with a rich history and countless eating traditions that can prove to be great topics for conversation.

Morimoto – Philadelphia

Sushi is not a cheap food and even though it may seem a fast dish to prepare never think of it in fast food terms. The prices at Morimoto’s only prove the level of excellence, the quality and freshness of the fish.

Uchi – Austin

Uchi is the one possible exception to the price/quality rule. It manages to throw together some amazing meals at reasonable prices while presenting a fusion menu that will leave you wanting more and more.

Sasabune – New York

The Omakase menu here is absolutely breathtaking. The minimalist restaurant basis it’s philosophy on the quality of the ingredients and the incredible level of mastery of its cooks.
