Leah Remini’s Scientology Report Solved?
Although authorities revealed that Shelly Miscavige was not missing, Leah Remini did not agree to their assessment.
The LAPD indicated that the missing person case was closed a few hours after the actress filed the report in connection to the whereabouts of the spouse of David Miscavige, the Scientology leader. Detective Gus Villanueva said the report on the missing person status of Shelley was unfounded. Although he did not reveal any details, Villanueva indicated that detectives saw Shelley when they met with the Miscaviges during their investigation.
A Church of Scientology spokesperson indicated that the police report Leah Remini was simple harassment.
The spokesperson indicated that the reports were a publicity stunt created by some unemployed fanatics who are at the periphery of the internet. The lawyer for Mrs. Miscavige and the Church reportedly gave its response to the outrageous claim.
The actress revealed last month that she left the church due to some apprehensions that included the location of Shelley, who reportedly did not join her husband during the wedding of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise in November 2006. This was discovered by Tony Ortega, a Scientology writer, through his website.
Although the actress drew the indignation of the church, Amy Scobee praised Leah Remini for the move. Scobee is a former Scientology member who used to operate the renowned Celebrity Centre.
Scobee indicated that she was concerned about Shelly for some time already, prior to the confirmation from the LAPD that the case was already closed. She reportedly brought up the case to the FBI in 2010.
She said that she believed that Shelly was alive and she is within the Church. She will be produced whenever necessary, which may have happened when authorities investigated the claim of Leah Remini.
