Michelle Obama To Release Hip-Hop Album
You heard it right; First Lady Michelle Obama intends to release a hip-hop album with some of the biggest names in the business in a campaign that promotes healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle for children.
Michelle Obama has contributed her energy and public image to a huge number of campaigns since she became first lady but one of her most recognizable causes is promoting healthy eating for children.
While the First Lady won’t perform on the album she did team up with big names like Jordin Sparks, Ashanti and DMC to make the album called “Songs for a healthier America”.
A video was made for the Jordin Sparks song called "Everybody". It was released this Tuesday and contains a number of different celebrities like Dr. Oz or Doug E. Fresh.
The album will be released together with Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” program and the Partnership for a Healthier America. The program was started by the First Lady back in 2010 with the clear purpose of helping youngsters eat healthier and exercise more.
The plan is to release 10 music videos for songs contained on the album in the next year and to distribute the album in high schools across the United States.
Michelle Obama’s album isn't exclusively made out of hip-hop jams and contains country and pop too.
