Ben Affleck Cast As Batman In Superman Sequel

The sequel of the upcoming Superman movie will bring the Kryptonian together with the Batman in one movie, and Batman will be played by Ben Affleck. He will play the role of the dark knight opposite to the Superman of Henry Cavill.

The mash-up of two of the greatest superheroes was revealed by Zack Snyder during the recent Sand Diego comic convention. Production of the upcoming movie is set to start next year, and it will be released by 2015.

According to Greg Silverman, the president of Warner Bros, they aimed to cast an extraordinary actor for one of the most popular superheroes of DC Comics, and Ben Affleck was the most suitable actor for the role.

Snyder also said that Ben Affleck offers an appealing counter-balance to the Clark Kent of Cavill. Affleck has the experience to portray a man who is wiser and older than Clark Kent. This character also shows experience as a crime fighter and the charm as the billionaire Bruce Wayne.

The sequel will also reunite the stars of the original movie, including Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

The most recent Batman role was played by Christian Bale in the Dark Knight trilogy of Christopher Nolan. Other actors who played the Batman in the past were George Clooney and Michael Keaton.

Superman and Batman are characters in the DC Comics universe, which is already a part of the entertainment division of Warner Bros. The latest movies featuring the two superheroes surpassed the $1 billion mark in recent years.

Affleck recently copped the best picture Academy Award for Argo, where he was both a star and director. Ben Affleck has also played the role of a superhero in 2003 in the Daredevil movie, which is a character in Marvel Comics.
