Heckled Dave Chappelle Stops Connecticut Show

Dave Chappelle was all over social media sites, after, in what most consider a controversial decision he stopped a show he was performing in Connecticut after being heckled.

The comedian decided to sit out the Thursday night show of the Funny or Die Presents The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival. Chappelle is doing his country wide tour with fellow comedians from Flight of the Conchrods and several other big names in comedy.

Fans that were present at the show said that after a promising beginning Chappelle stopped his routine and continued to address his hecklers, making jokes about the uncomfortable situation and even reading a few sentences from an audience member’s book.

When his time was over he was booed off stage and some of the people who attended the Comcast Theater show said they wanted their money back.

This isn’t the first time the funny man stops a show cold after being heckled. He is famously known for stopping his performance at a charity event and laying on the stage for 10 minutes until his contractually agreed upon time onstage had expired.

Dave Chappelle said he didn’t feel responsible for the way the show went adding that he is considering a return to television where he said “it’s safe”.
