Jimmy Kimmel Pranks Everyone With “Twerking” Video

The internet was quite literally set ablaze with a video that showed a young women accidentally setting herself on fire while “twerking”. Gladly for all the shocked viewers of the clip, it proved to be a well-orchestrated prank with night-show host Jimmy Kimmel at the helm.

The video that went viral was called “Worst Twerk Fail Ever”. It got an impressive 9 million views in a very short time and received an impressive amount of media coverage. Kimmel revealed on this Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that the clip was a hoax.

The show started with Kimmel talking to the supposed victim called Caitlin Heller, and asking her why the video ended so abruptly. When Caitlin offered to show him the rest of the video, the host walked over to reveal the woman seated behind a curtain.

He then proceeded to show the entire clip that shows Caitlin trying her twerking moves and catching on fire after she fell over a table with lit candles when her roommate scared her by walking in. The complete video shows Kimmel walking in with a fire extinguisher and saving the woman’s life.

Jimmy Kimmel gave credit to internet “conspiracy theorists” saying that they were correct to call the video fake.
