First “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” Trailer Released

The first trailer of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” was set to be released through iTunes. However, a number of fans discovered the British version of the trailer on the YouTube channel of MarvelUK. The trailer runs for 2 1/2 minutes and is filled with conspiracy, action, and witty jokes between the Cap and his colleagues in S.H.I.E.L.D.

The trailer initially shows the captain and Black Widow on a jet. The Cap is played by Chris Evans while Scarlett Johansson plays the Black Widow or Natasha Romanoff.

Robert Redford is also shown on the trailer telling Rogers that it was necessary to tear down the old in order to create a better world. Robert Redford plays the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., Alexander Pierce.

The trailer of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” shows numerous action scenes and the helicarrier of S.H.I.E.L.D. being destroyed. The trailer also shows Bucky Barnes and the Falcon. Sebastian Stan plays Bucky while the Falcon is played by Anthony Mackie.

Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, also appears on the trailer. It points to the main theme of the movie.

The tone of the movie was derived from the political thrillers of the 70s, according to the directors of the movie, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. Captain America was adjusting to the modern world after being frozen for 65 years in the Arctic.

Evans indicated that his character was trying to adjust to the new society, which was different from the society he experienced in the 1940s. Evans added that it was the Captain was also trying to deal with the compromises of civil liberties in order to protect the public.

The movie will follow the story line of the comic book with the same title of Ed Brubaker, according to the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is expected to hit the big screen on April 4, 2014.
