Tom Cruise Sues Bauer Publishing Over Daughter Scandal

Tom Cruise is in the midst of a legal battle after suing the Bauer Publishing Co. over two articles written in a tabloid the company possess where the allegation that the actor has “abandoned” his daughter was made.

The stoires were published back in 2012 in Life & Style and In Touch magazines and detailed how Cruises hectic schedule keeps him away from his daughter, Suri. The articles also said the only way the actor was kept informed of what his daughter was up to was via his then wife Katie Holmes.

Tom Cruise apparently declared in a court filing this Tuesday that he maintains a very close relationship with his young daughter regardless of his busy schedule or his recent divorce from Katie Holmes.

The actors lawyers are asking for Bauer to declare that they invented the articles as they have no real source behind them. Bauer Publishing Co. doesn’t seem to be intimidated by the actors legal team and say that the judge should dismiss Cruise’s motion, after they have turned in files that apparently cite confidential sources that prove Cruise missed his daughters first day of school, even though he could have flown to New York to be with her.

Tom Cruise and his legal team still maintain that the articles were vicious lies.
