Ryan Riess Wins World Series Of Poker

The 23 year old Ryan Riess won the World Series of Poker this Tuesday earning an incredible $8.4 million after a dramatic game.

The last hand was as dramatic as could get with his final opponent, Jay Farber, a club promoter from Las Vegas going all in with his Queen-Five. The young Riess showed composure and a patience much ahead of his age and called his opponent, guessing his weak hand.

When the cards folded Riess had his girlfriend’s arms around him as he saw the $8.4 million pot coming his way. In some very emotional first words, the young player said he believes he is the best player in the world, this after kissing the championship bracelet he admits to chasing since he was an adolescent.

Farber started the night at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino ahead by nearly 20 million chips with 105 million chips in total, however, Riess changed the tide of the game slowly and managed to strike a giant blow with a $58.5 million pot winner.

The young Ryan Riess had some fans in the background who cheered him all the way to victory, especially as he showed a more aggressive style of play as the night was ending, forcing the Las Vegas native Farber to call, even if he had the weaker hand.
