Alex Rodriguez Denies MLB Allegations

This Wednesday was definitely not Alex Rodriguez’s best day as the Yankee third baseman left his arbitration hearing furiously. He later talked about the issue on the Mike Francesca radio show denying all allegations that the MLB threw his way.

The player said that his connection to Bosh was just for “nutrition and weight loss” and that “he did nothing”. Rodriguez was joined by Jim McCarroll, his lawyer, on the radio sports show where he accused commissioner Bud Selig of trying to suspend him for personal reasons.

The player said that it’s a contest of legacies as Selig is retiring in 2014 and would retire with a bang if he managed to suspend one of the biggest players of all time before he calls it quits.

The charges weren’t the only thing Rodriguez denied as he also denied ever leaking names of other players that have used PED in an effort to take some of the heat off him. He also said he is disappointed with the arbitration process and said that the only reason he is being set up for such a long suspension is the money he is owed by the Yankees.

Mike Francesca ended the interview by summarizing the situation perfectly saying that either Rodriguez or the MLB are lying, and that regardless of who it is, the whole situation is ridiculous.
