Verizon Moto X Available For A Penny
Around three months after the introduction of the flagship smartphone of Motorola, the Moto X, Amazon is aiming to increase sales of the Verizon version of the device. The move is expected to benefit penny-pinchers in the market.
The price tag of the Verizon Wireless version of the latest Android-powered smartphone from Motorola was reduced to one penny by Amazon with the typical twenty-four month service agreement. The move is expected to increase the number of new subscribers to the mobile service provider, and increase the storage space intended for the mobile device.
However, it may also indicate that the device is taking up a god amount of space in storage, which the retailer wants to free up with its latest promotion for the Verizon Moto X.
The price of the AT&T model of the device remains at $49 with the two-year mobile service contract.
Prices of the device have started to go down following its release into the market last August. Industry watchers were not surprised with the development since Google is noted for providing subsidies for its device offerings.
The relationship of Verizon with Google and Motorola is complicated since the mobile service provider was accommodating to the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 of Google. However, Verizon appears to maintain its rapport with Motorola. The mobile service provider offers the Moto X and is among the first companies to offer the KitKat Android 4.4 update to the smartphone.
Despite the complicated relationship among the three companies, it appears that the smartphone is the most ideal deal for Android enthusiasts who aim to acquire the Verizon Wireless version of the Moto X.
