3 Most Stunning Undiscovered Mountain Towns

What better place to spend a relaxing weekend or vacation this winter than in a charming, romantic mountain town. The fresh air, the amazing views, the long walks and the postcard perfect atmosphere all make a quick escape to the mountains a great idea for this winter vacation. Don’t worry about crowds though as the following list is of basically undiscovered destinations.

Ouray, Colorado

A beautiful little town set in the San Juan Mountains, Ouray has the charm of an old English village with its Victorian architecture. If you like outdoorsy activities, the ice climbing is just the thing to get the blood pumping. Relax at a therapeutic hot spring after your climb and admire the snow covered buildings and mountains for the perfect vacation.

Cody, Wyoming

If you want a rustic, cowboy themed town then Cody is the place to go. The town has a rich history being founded by none other than William F. Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill. You can spend your time here by taking walks around the superb countryside, or by attending the very Western rodeos or gun fight reenactments. If you like winter sports Cody is considered among the most affordable places to ski in the U.S.

Berkeley Springs, West Virginia

If you want nothing more than to relax, take in the beautiful quaint architecture and visit as many spa’s as possible then you shouldn't miss Berkeley Springs. The area is literally littered with mineral springs and spa’s that take full advantage of the natural conditions. President Washington’s visits here should lay testament to the therapeutic properties of the springs and the beauty of the public roman bathhouses.
