Unique Acceptance Speech By Nina Dobrev And Ian Somerhalder

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder the People’s Choice Award for “favorite on-screen chemistry by giving a high-five and kissing each other even though they already broke up off the screen. The breakup of the co-stars of “The Vampire Diaries” was announced last May after seeing each other for three years.

The former couple revealed their relationship in 2011 and were consummate professionals who are still working with each other and have remain friends

The two stars accepted the award during the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards together. The 35-year-old Somerhalder said it was crazy after accepting the award. He also won the sci-fi television actor award. The actor said it was nearly five years in the making.

Although Dobrev agreed to what Somerhalder said, she said the fact that her character did not like the character played by Somerhalder.

The acceptance speech continued with the actor saying that she hooked up with the brother of his character, Nina Dobrev replied that his character killed the brother of Elena. The two showed the chemistry with the conversation as he said that she fell in love with him.

Dobrev added that they started to date on the show and Somerhalder replied they started to date off the screen. She later said that they split in real life.

He also pointed out that their characters continue to date each other on the show. The two stars continued the acceptance speech by indicating that they did not feel awkward on the show. It ended with Somerhalder giving Dobrev a kiss on the cheek before thanking the audience.

Ian Somerhalder also helped in celebrating the birthday of Nina Dobrev at midnight.
