The Oscar’s Pizza Delivery Guy Made His Tip
The 86th edition of the Academy Awards certainly had its memorable moments. One of the most twittered pictures in the world, an impressive list of winners, some inspiring speeches and of course the pizza.
Yes, the pizza handed out to some of the biggest names in the entertainment business was one of the most interesting stories about this years Oscars and the pictures of celebrities like Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep or Julia Roberts having a slice of pie during the most prestigious award ceremony will live forever.
The man of the hour was Edgar Martirosyan, the co-owner of Big Mama’s & Papa’s, who managed to bring the pizza’s to the award show. Initially Martirosyan was told he would be delivering the order to a bunch of Hollywood writers. To his surprise, he was met by Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres who led him to the stage of the event where he supplied delicious treats to members of the audiences including his favorite actress Julia Roberts.
Later in the evening, DeGeneres collected money for his tip from the front aisles of the show in Pharrell Williams’ gigantic hat. Invited on her show, Edgar Martirosyan received the $600 collected at the show with DeGeneres adding $400 to make his tip an even thousand.
