Joakim Noah Takes Over In Bulls Win Against The Heat

Joakim Noah took over as the main man of the Chicago Bulls as Derrick Rose recovers from a major knee surgery that compelled him to sit out the entire season. This was evident as he led the Bulls to an overtime win against the Miami Heat with his 20 points and 12 rebounds. Noah also added seven assists and five blocks in their game on Sunday.

Noah has been playing his best game as he made the All-Star team for the second straight year. He also took in the playmaking role with his 7.1-assist average during the past month.

Jimmy Butler, shooting guard of the Bulls, said Joakim Noah has been working hard at both ends of the floor. He carried the team each time they have a game.

Chicago outrebounded Miami, 47-42, with Lebron James being held to 17 points due to the defense of Butler. The defense of Butler also prevented James from getting a good shot in the final possession of the Heat in regulation.

Noah revealed that he dislikes the Heat since Miami owns what they want. Miami eliminated Chicago from the playoffs in two of the last three seasons. Noah said he does not dislike the players of Miami but dislikes the team since they want to get the championship.

With Rose out for the rest of the season, Chicago had to lean on their defense to win games. Although Noah was considered the foundation of the defense of the Bulls, the player has given credit to his coach. He said the team has been working on their defense according to the instructions of Coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Chicago Bulls will be facing a number of strong opponents at home for the rest of the month. Noah has been using the absence of Rose as his motivation to stay on course on their final objective. Joakim Noah said the team is a hungry group and they are aiming for one thing, the championship.
