First Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer Released
The first trailer of the reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released recently. This $125-million movie is produced by Michael Bay, who is known for big-budget action films such as Armageddon, Bad Boys and Transformers.
The producer opted not to reinvent the half-shelled heroes as aliens following negative feedback from fans. During this time, Bay said that fans should not have gone through the script since their team was closely collaborating with one creator of the Ninja Turtles to provide them a multifaceted back story. He added that fans should relax since they will include everything that made the heroes appealing to them in the first place.
Megan Fox plays the role of reporter April O’Neil in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie while Shredder will be played by William Fichtner. This will be the first movie where Bay and Fox have come together after the actress was fired from the 2010 Transformers: Dark of the Moon after she compared the producer to Hitler. During this time, she also said it was a nightmare to work with the producer.
It appears that the actress is having more fun in the movie, which features some comedy, compared to her role as Mikaela Banes in the Transformers movies. Although the heroes in a half-shell are introduced in a serious music them, the sense of humor of the characters was maintained by Bay in the later part of the trailer.
The character of Fichtner, Shredder, was not introduced properly since the trailer only lasted for around one minute. Fichtner indicated that he was signed up to do a total of three movies. The movie is directed by Jonathan Liebesman, who also directed the Wrath of the Titans. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is produced by Platinum Dunes of Michael Bay and Nickelodeon and is set to hit the big screen in August.
