DeSean Jackson Reaches Deal With Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have supposedly reached a deal with free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson in one of the biggest moves made by the east-coast team this season. Jackson arrived Monday evening to Washington from Los Angeles and went to dinner with Redskins coach Jay Gruden and several other staff members.

The deal was apparently struck late Tuesday night, with both sides agreeing to an advantageous contract even though other teams expressed their interest for Jackson. The deal is supposedly a three year contract with financial terms not being released yet. Jackson confirmed the contract via Twitter posting a message about the Redskin’s colors.

The Redskins believe that Jackson will add even more offensive power to one of the best line-ups in the league starting with quarterback Robert Griffin III, tight end Jordan Reed, running back Alfred Morris and wide receiver Andre Roberts.

Jackson who is 27 years old is starting his seventh season in the NFL and just ended his best with 1,332 yards, nine touchdowns and 82 catches. He and the Eagles parted ways after the player and coach Chip Kelly had a falling out. His alleged behavior and the impact the conflict with coach Kelly had on the locker room were the main reasons that made the Eagles release him last Friday.
