Bolshoi Theater – Moscow, Russia

Possibly the most famous opera house in the world, the Bolshoi Theater is the home of the ballet and opera that share the same name. Built in the 19th century, the imposing building is situated stone’s throw away from the Red Square and the Kremlin. It’s history is rich in both amazing performances as well as political figure with Lenin proclaiming the Soviet Union here in 1922.

Teatro Olimpico – Venice, Italy

Built in the renaissance by the famed Italian architect Andrea Palladio, this amazing building and UNESCO World Heritage Site is a true architectural gem. The interior still contains the 16th century faux marble stage set giving tourists the impression that they actually traveled back in time.

Palais Garnier – Paris, France

The design of the building was won by architect Charles Garnier during a competition organized by Napoleon III. His amazing project was so successful that his name is still associated with the opera house. The theater is associated with the Phantom of the Opera movie, novel and musical.
