A 17-point deficit at halftime was cut to one point by the Indiana Pacers behind a third quarter rally led by Roy Hibbert and Paul George. The Pacers continued their third-quarter rally in the fourth quarter as they escaped with a 95-92 victory against the Washington Wizards in Game Four of the NBA Playoffs.

The Pacers outscored the Wizards in the third quarter, 33-16, behind the 13 points and 9 points of George and Hibbert, respectively. George finished the game with 39 points and 12 rebounds. Frank Vogel, coach of the Pacers, said he wanted to rest George, but the Pacers star said he did not want to rest.

The Indiana Pacers have a 3-1 edge in their best-of-seven series against the Washington Wizards. However, Washington coach Randy Wittman remains positive of his team’s chances in the series. He said they were able to win three consecutive games against Chicago.

Washington led the game until the third quarter following a 29-11 second quarter scoring blitz. Among the players who contributed to the rally were Drew Gooden, Al Harrington and Andrew Miller.

Harrington scored 11 points in the second quarter while Gooden scored 10 points. Gooden said the team had the opportunity to win the game but were not able to do it. When John Wall of Washington returned in the middle of the fourth quarter, the Indiana Pacers gained the momentum.

The team took the lead with the free throws of Paul George with 2:24 left in the game. David West of Indiana said George made a number of plays against the Wizards during the game. George was able to take big shots, according to Lance Stephenson of the Pacers.

The Wizards had the chance to tie the game with 1.7 seconds left in the game. However, an errant pass allowed the Indiana Pacers to preserve their lead against the Washington Wizards.
