Human Element Contributes To The Success Of Godzilla

The human element in the movie may contribute to the success of Godzilla, which features a number of remarkable set pieces.

The movie starts with the destruction of a Japanese plant, which was witnessed by, Joe Brody, the character played by Bryan Cranston. Brody was plagued by guilt after his way died during the destruction of the plant. Due to this he spends the last fifteen years to find evidence that natural disaster was not the reason behind the tragedy.

His pursuit of getting evidence to contradict the official story of the government alienated his son Ford, played by Aaron Taylor Johnson. Ford joined the army and married Elle, played by Elizabeth Olsen. Ford travels to Japan after finding out that his father was placed under arrest after he entered the quarantine zone.

The two enter the quarantine zone before they are arrested and brought to the plant, which was the base of operations. A cocoon of a Muto or Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Object was found in the plant.

The start of the movie sets the tone while preparing for the arrival of Godzilla. Cranston is able to draw in the audience as he uses his character as the hook of the film together with the character played by Johnson. Following the establishment of the characters, the monster action starts to come in.

The scenes appeared well-directed with a number of explanations from the characters played by Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Ken Watanabe. Although the central part of the movie appears to be unclear, director Gareth Edwards led the plot towards the final showdown between Godzilla and the Muto.

The movie starts to focus on the survival of a species instead of highlighting the struggle of humans against the monsters.

Edwards keeps the audience fascinated with the movie as the final battle is clearly seen despite concerns that building of dust will cover up the action. The humans on Godzilla do not appear insignificant in the movie even as the script appeared to be underdeveloped for some of them.
