A Preview of the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2
Intro
There might come a time in your life when you ask yourself, how have I managed to remain productive so far without a 12 inch stylus wielding tablet with an extremely high resolution display. That is the moment when Samsung is betting with this great Galaxy NotePro tablet, this is the largest member of Samsung Galaxy Note’s family which arguably started the whole big screen mobile device movement. Samsung argues that the 12.2 inch NotePro offers PC like productivity and in today’s mobile age that blurs the lines between computing device segments and if we look at the specs of this Android tablet Samsung has a point.
Display & Design
Samsung is betting on a very high resolution display which not many devices that hold this screen diagonal are able to offer, at 2560 x 1600 pixels the 12.2 inch display crams in 4 million pixels on its surface and that is more than enough to not even notice with your naked eyes.
Samsung has used the artificial led-aluminum quick stitching accents of the Note 3 in this tablet. This tablet has quite a sophisticated look and it looks quite similar to a leather tablet. The tablet is quite nice to the touch, the glossy look is offering a lot of traction for the hands as it just sticks to your fingers whereas the leathery back is more slippery.
The Note is surrounded by a metallic ring and this adds quite a premium look to the device, despite this elevated leather pattern with edge stiches, the tablet manages to fit in well in the sub 8mm category.
I could say that this tablet is as compact as a ten inch tablet while still having some metal bezels on the back to keep your fingers from fumbling. We can get a free S pen stylus with the Note Pro, this stylus sits comfortably in the top edge of the tablet.
Multimedia & Hardware
The tablet comes in with an innovative multimode for the s pen, this will enhance your multitasking productivity as you can now split the screen into four adjustable size sections which are quite useful in regards to the wide screen real estate.
In addition, the Galaxy Note Pro will ship with a selection of preloaded apps, contents and services such as Bloomberg business week plus four, a year worth of subscription and so on. Not all of these apps and services will be available in all the regions but in general Samsung is throwing in a free subscription to most of the apps that cover a lot of work and play scenarios.
The tablet comes in quad and octa core varieties, the octa core version can fire up all the processors if you want to connect the tablet to multiple displays. The LTE version will come in with no less than a quad core snapdragon clocked at the respectable 2.3 GHz. These chipset alternatives won’t leave u longing for more, the tablet is really great for watching videos and editing pictures, these are in fact the main selling points of the device.
