You may have seen him in countless news stories or documentaries but how well do you actually know the man behind the huge scientific brand that is Stephen Hawking? If you don’t know but are curious to find out the real-life story of one of humanity’s most important and famous scientists will be coming to theaters soon.

The official trailer for Hawking’s “The Theory of Everything was released this Wednesday with Eddie Redmayne from “Les Miserables” fame playing the brilliant astrophysicist during his younger period.

The movie is based off of the book “Traveling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen,” which was written by his first wife, Jane who is played in the movie by Felicity Jones. The action of the movie focuses on their initial courtship while both were students at Oxford University in the 1960s. This time coincides with Hawking’s first ALS or Lou Gehrig ’s Disease symptoms, which will later handicap him for the rest of his life.

This isn’t the first time Hawking’s amazing and inspirational life story has been brought to the public with “Sherlock Holmes” actor Benedict Cumberbatch playing him in a 2004 BBC TV-movie. A bio-documentary about the physicist’s life was also produced and released in 2013 under the name “Hawking.”
