April 28 Event May Launch The LG G4
Invitations for a number of simultaneous events set to be held next month were released by LG recently, and a number of industry watchers are expecting the South Korean company to unveil the LG G4. The events are set to be held in a number of locations around the world on April 28 and April 29 mainly due to the time zones.
Six cities are included in the list, including Seoul, Singapore, Paris, London, Istanbul and New York. Recent reports have hinted at the possibility that the next flagship handset of the electronics giant from South Korea will be launched in April.
The invitation featured the tagline “see the great, feel the great.” It also featured an image hinting at the possibility that the next smartphone of LG will have a stitched leather cover. The move will be interesting on the part of LG, which has nearly always used plastic for most of its handsets. The only exception to this rule was the Optimus G.
The upcoming LG G4 is anticipated to feature a completely new design as it drew some inspiration from its G Flex 2 device. The display of the new smartphone is expected to have a curve design. The supposed stitched leather cover was likely a move to set it apart from the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Reports have also indicated that the latest flagship smartphone of LG may feature a Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm. It is also anticipated to come with a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera at the back. The camera will also feature a laser for focusing.
LG did not release any official statements in connection to the possibility that it will launch the LG G4 during its event next month.
