Steve-O Posts Bail After Anti-SeaWorld Stunt

Following the arrest of Steve-O of “Jackass” fame due to his anti-SeaWorld exploit on top of a crane, he was released on bail. The stunt performer posted on his Facebook page before his arrest on Sunday asking his followers on Facebook, “Anyone wanna bail me out?” An LA police officer said Steve-O, or Stephen Glover in real life, was arrested after he was suspected of trespassing.

He was released on Monday morning after posting a $5,000 bail. He is set to appear in court on August 31. Over eighty firefighters along with dozens of LA police officers went to West Selma Avenue at around 8 PM due to the stunt. Reports hinted at a possible suicide attempt after the stunt performer was seen on top of the crane.

While an air cushion was prepared by firefighters, the television personality was planning something else.

Everything was filmed by the 41-year-old Glover and he posted images and videos on his Facebook page. He also brought an inflatable orca and was wearing a “Blackfish” shirt when he went down from the crane. “Blackfish” is a documentary showing an orca held in captivity.

The stunt was hinted by the comedian on his Instagram account. He also posted an image showing of himself with the inflatable orca in hand. He wrote that they will be doing a dangerous stunt in Los Angeles, which will likely get him into trouble. The stunt was the second public demonstration of Glover against SeaWorld.

Steve-O posted a picture of himself on a San Diego freeway sign in August 2014. He attached the word “sucks” on the sign after the words showing “Sea World.”
