A giant baby boy born in Texas
Janet Johnson and Michael Brown are now a couple blessed with a big baby boy, literally. The baby, named JaMichael Brown weighs 16 pounds and 1 ounce or approximately 7.3 kilograms and is 2 feet long. The couple was expecting a big baby, but not like that. Baby JaMichael's weight is already equivalent to the weight of a 6 month old baby. "Everybody was amazed that he was so big, I don't think too many people have heard of having a 16-pound baby,” says Janet.
Janet Johnson gave birth to JaMichael at Longview's Good Shepherd Medical Center last Friday morning at 9:05, JaMichael is the couple's third son and was nicknamed “The Moose” because of the fact that he is the largest child ever born in the hospital. The hospital already asked for the reports if JaMichael has beaten any record for biggest baby born in Texas.
39-year-old Janet suffered from gestational diabetes and is known to be one of the reasons for bigger birth weights, the couple surely didn't expect JaMichael to be this big even if Janet was already scheduled to give birth through the Cesarean section.
JaMichael was placed in the neonatal intensive care unit and would most likely be transferred to a regular nursery soon. His mother hopes that she could bring her child home by the end of the week and return the clothes they previously bought, which obviously won't fit JaMichael.
