Lindsay Lohan back in jail

Celebrity and Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan was ordered by a judge to go back behind bars after Lohan failed a recent drug test that violated the terms of her probation.

Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox denied bail for Lohan after she failed a mandatory cocaine test.

The 24-year old appeared stunned as she was taken away by officers. She could spend the next 30 days in jail after Judge Fox set her next probation hearing on October 22.

Judge Fox also denied Lohan's attorneys the chance to speak arguments that their client should be granted bail because of the relatively minor charges against her.

Lohan admitted her positive drug test in Twitter last week saying that “she was a work in progress.”

“This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences...Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away overnight,” she said.

She also expressed her appreciation for the support she has been given amid her legal woes.

“I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that I am trying hard, and taking positive steps...but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else,” she added.

The former Hollywood child star was once considered one of the most promising actresses of her generation. Over the last several years, she had become a favorite for paparazzi for her lifestyle, car accidents, and drug abuse that has landed her numerous legal troubles.
