Alec Baldwin To Host MSNBC Talk Show

The MSNBC president announced recently that Alec Baldwin will host a nighttime talk show entitled “Up Late With Alec Baldwin.” The actor will talk about culture and current events.

The agreement for the weekly show, which will start in October, was finalized recently. Phil Griffin said that he was excited in bringing the personality and interests of the actor into MSNBC. He added that Baldwin has a passion for ideas as well as the things that are happening around the world. Griffin said that Baldwin will be a good addition to the lineup of the company.

The actor sharpened his interviewing skills through his podcasts where he interviewed a number of celebrities and other well-known personalities. Among the people the actor interviewed for his podcast were Chris Rock, Lena Dunham, Jill Abramson of the New York Times, and Dan Matthews of PETA.

Baldwin revealed his desire to become a talk show host. He also revealed during an earlier interview that he dreams of becoming a correspondent for 60 Minutes.

The actor said that the show will be the peak of his combined political beliefs, political curiosity, and desire to converse with people on camera for a wider audience. Preliminary discussions were made between the actor and NBC executives for a late-night show.

Alec Baldwin will be going against another candid personality, Bill Maher of HBO, when he starts his show on MSNBC. The actor will have the chance to launch the show since it is scheduled in a time slot that is relatively low-pressured.

The liberal politics of the actor is suitable for MSNBC, which made a number of changes in its early prime and primetime lineup. Baldwin frequently criticizes conservatives and the conservative media. He frequently clashed with his detractors though Twitter.

Alec Baldwin, who finds ultra conservatism illogical, indicated that he does not follow the political logic of conservatives who want to cut money for powerless people.
