Alex Rodriguez May Return This Monday
Alex Rodriguez’s long awaited come back to the New York Yankees starting team will probably happen this Tuesday. Both the players and Yankees staff members are actually counting on that and have more or less announced him in the starting lineup.
During a radio interview on WFAN, Rodriguez says that he expects to see some action field side against the Texas Rangers. That would make him ready to play just on schedule after the ending of his rehab assignment, the player said after a workout session this Wednesday.
Unlike other overly optimistic tweets the player has let go over the course of his recovery this latest prediction seems to be the Yankees official position too.
Brian Cashman, General Manager of the New York Yankees said that everyone at the team hopes the star player will return as soon as possible but that he just wants to “get through the weekend” and then make more predictions.
Rodriguez managed to hit his first home run from his rehab assignment, but the road there was not an easy one. His hip surgery took a lot of time to heal and at the moment he is nowhere near his top form.
Alex Rodriguez should know by Monday if he will play any time soon or go back to the Yankees rehab facilities in Tampa.
