Amanda Bynes’ Mother Gains Legal Control Over Daughter’s Affairs

Amanda Bynes’ mother gained control over her daughter’s affairs after a California based judge deemed the young actress a danger to herself.

The Venture County judge Glen Reiser agreed to grant a temporary form of conservatorship to both of Bynes’ parents. The motion was filled by her parents after their daughter was arrested and sent to a psychiatric hospital after starting a small fire in a random driveway in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Thousand Oaks.

Lynn Bynes’, the former Nickelodeon star’s mother will control her daughter’s legal and monetary affairs. She and her husband will also control her daughter’s medical future when she will be released from the court ordered treatment.

The case is similar to that of Britney Spears who was also put under conservatorship back in 2008 when she had an emotional breakdown after her divorce. Her father still controls Spears’ affairs to this day, even after his daughter has made a complete recovery both health wise and as far as her career is concerned.

Amanda Bynes starred in movies like “What a Girl Wants”, “She’s the Man”, and “Hairspray” but she has gained a lot of media attention after she was arrested in New York for throwing a marijuana filled bong out her 36th story apartment.
