Andy Reid Could Soon Be Coaching The Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs may have found their new coach in Andy Reid. As the two sides negotiated throughout this Thursday for Andy to take over the helm of the Kansas City Chiefs. Interest by both sides seams real as Andy Reid has cancelled interviews for other coaching spots.
Negotiations lasted close to nine hours, and unofficial sources suggest that the deal is almost done, however, it is unclear what details prevented both sides from reaching an official agreement.
Andy Reid was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles after spending no less than 14 seasons with the East Coast team, at the same time that Romeo Crennel was fired by Chiefs management after the worst season in the team's history.
With Andy Reid no longer a candidate for the Arizona Cardinals, Todd Haley seems to be a favorite for the head coach job. Todd Haley who used to lead the Kansas City Chiefs was also offensive coordinator for Arizona in 2008 when they made a good run for the Super Bowl.
Andy Reid’s first job will be to solve the long overdue problem of the quarter back position. With Cassel estimated to earn $7.5 million this season and Brady Quinn not being a viable option for starter QB, Andy Reid will have his hands full trying to find the perfect option.
