Angelina Jolie Signs Lucrative Ad Deal

Angelina Jolie has reportedly signed a very lucrative deal worth $10 million or 6.45 million pounds with French fashion house Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton has neither confirmed nor deny the deal with Angelina Jolie, one of the most recognizable faces in the planet.

If proven true, the contract will be the highest for a single ad campaign by a celebrity. In comparison, Catherine Zeta-Jones was given 3.2 million pounds by mobile phone operator T-Mobile, while Nicole Kidman bagged a 2.5 million pounds per year agreement to promote Chanel. Fellow Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow meanwhile was signed by Estee Lauder to a deal worth 1.9 million pounds.

American portrait photographer Annie Leibowitz is scheduled to shoot the ad photos with Angelina Jolie in a few weeks' time.

The "Lara Croft" star joins supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, singers Madonna and Jennifer Lopez and actress Scarlett Johansson as famous endorsers of the high-end Louis Vuitton products.

Angelina Jolie is said to be an admirer of Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs. But she has been picky with her endorsements over the years as her popularity grew. She has previously endorsed cosmetics firm Shisheido and fashion house St. John.

She has been busy working as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador  and visited conflict areas with many refugees such as Tunisia, Libya and Afghanistan recently. When not working, Angelina Jolie spends her time with her husband Brad Pitt and their growing multi-racial family.

Angelina Jolie is set to film her next film project "Cleopatra" which has switched directors repeatedly, with David Fincher the latest to be attached to the project.
