As the iPhone 6 is set to be unveiled by Apple, invitations to a press event on September 9 were released by the Cupertino-based company recently. Since the invitation did not give any indications on what the event was all about, speculations of its possible connection with Siri emerged.

The upcoming event comes a year after the iPhone 5C and 5S were unveiled by Apple. The company has launched a new iPhone each year since it was initially released into the market in 2007. However, the event may also set the stage for a wearable device of the company.

Industry watchers are expecting two new models for the iPhone 6 will be unveiled by Apple. One model is expected to feature a display screen size of 4.7 inches while the second model may have a 5.5-inch screen display. The upcoming model of the iPhone is expected to be among the biggest product launch of the company. Apple supposedly requested manufacturers to increase their production of the iPhones by thirty to forty percent compared to the number initially released for the iPhone 5c and 5S.

The De Anza College campus is the venue of the upcoming event, which is a different venue for the product launches of the company in the past.
