Bahamas Vacation: The Best Cheap Cruises

Would you rather be in Bahamas for vacation? The Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas sails to the destination.

Amid outbreaks of viruses, a recent fire that crippled a ship, and the fatal crash of the Costa Concordia, vacationers are avoiding taking on the cruise. Because of this, cruise bookings have dropped as much as 20 percent at some companies heading into the usual peak season, according to Time’s Magazine.  In response, cruise lines struggle to drop prices in response.

Here are two cruise companies that offer lower rates just to make the cruise industry sailing.

Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Sea —  This is recently the most affordable cruise which could accommodate more than 2000 passengers on a three-night exciting trips to the Bahamas from Miami.

Norwegian Sky Cruises — This cruise company is inviting the vacationers to take their relaxing cruise, along with their casual dining and flexible meal times. This cruise can accommodate 2000 passengers on a three or four-night tour to the Bahamas out of Miami.

Because of the recent incidents, stiff competition tends to keep fares low on cruises to the Caribbean, while sea voyages to far-flung locales such as the South Pacific and Antarctica command far higher prices. In general, these cruise rates include meals but drinks and other necessities should be paid.

You can save more by booking in advance between May and mid-June.  The last quarter of the year also offers almost similar savings, but with the possibilities of less-than-perfect weather.

The cheapest fare is to buy an interior cabin without a view.   In this case, you just have to stay on the deck to enjoy the view.  You may also book an outside cabin with more amenities including a balcony or veranda.

However, it is always wise to remember to clear of the upper decks if you are apprehensive of too much swaying that may make you seasick. If you're looking to unwind, avoid noisy areas such as the pool deck and the lower levels.
