Benzino Shot At Funeral Procession Of His Mother
Rapper Benzino was shot as he went to the funeral of his mother. His nephew was arrested and is facing a charge of intent to murder. The reality television star was driving along Route 3 as part of the funeral procession of his mother. His 36-year-old nephew, Gai Scott, suddenly pulled up beside him and fired into his vehicle.
Following the shooting, Stevie J, the co-star of the rapper posted images of the rapper on Instagram. One picture showed the rapper sleeping with a bandaged right bicep and a sling on his right arm. Dave Mays, business partner of the star, was at his side. Another picture showed the rapper sitting on the hospital bed and posing for a selfie with his "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" co-star.
Even as Benzino is currently being treated for non-fatal injuries, his representative said he was in critical condition. A statement issued by District Attorney Timothy Cruz of Plymouth County indicated that there was an increasing tension between the star and his nephew.
Both the rapper and his nephew were both headed to the funeral. The statement added that Scott fired a number of shots into the Dodge SUV of Raymond Scott at around noontime on Saturday. Raymond Scott is the birth name of the rapper.
Scott was placed under arrest and is facing an armed assault charge with the intent to murder. The rapper became famous with the pioneering hip-hop publication, The Source. He also has a number of solo albums as a rapper and several group LPS with Almighty R.S.O. and Made Men.
After he left The Source, the rapper established another magazine, Hip-Hop Weekly. However, he is currently popular due to the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” a VH1 reality television series. The love life of Benzino is aired through the reality television show.
