Boko Haram Kidnap 25 More Schoolgirls In Nigeria

The militant islamist organization Boko Haram has supposedly kidnapped 25 more schoolgirls this week during an attack on a town located in the northeastern part of Nigeria. The terrorist organization has made worldwide news after they kidnapped over 200 young girls from an all-girl school in Chibok, Nigeria earlier this year. While negotiations were being carried for their release it appears that the terrorist organization has struck again, kidnapping several more young girls according to eye witnesses.

Locals of the recently attacked town have said that the terrorists came during the night and forced all women to come with them, releasing all the older women the next day. Locals say they are confused and distraught as a cease fire agreement between the Nigerian military and the terrorist organization had begun just a couple of hours before the attack.

Further talks between the Nigerian government and a representative of Boko Haram are scheduled for this week and will take place in N’Djamena, the capital of Chad. No further information was released about the condition of the over 200 girls or the progress of their release.

The recent attack took place in Azare, a town in Bauchi state, located in the north-east of the country. According to a police report a bomb exploded killing five people and wounding a dozen more. Police did not confirm who carried out the attack, however, Boko Haram are the most likely suspects.
