Britney Spears And Jason Trawick Break Up

News that the famous couple has called it quits hit just hours after Britney Spears has confirmed rumors that she will be leaving “X Factor” and possibly resuming her music career.

“Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement, … I’ll always adore him and we will remain great friends.” said Britney spears as she told reporters that the two will no longer be getting married.

Jason Trawick also said “I love and cherish her and her boys, and we will be close forever,” in the joint statement they made.

Britney Spears was put under court supervised conservatorship since 2008, after having a number of erratic episodes and some hospitalizations.

Jason Trawick was made co-conservator alongside Britney’s father and Andrew Wallet after it was announced that the couple were engaged in December 2011.

Although he was co-conservator Jason Trawick never had authority over Britney Spears’ assets, which as of this year seem to have recovered after the pop diva’s meltdown.

According to her most recent accounting Britney Spears had, at the end of 2010 $27.5 million in assets with close to $15 million in cash.

Jason Trawick was Britney Spears agent until they started dating in 2009, at which time they both decided that their professional relationship should end and they should focus on being a couple.
