Robin Williams’ tragic passing has touched many and left his friends and family crushed with pain. Both fans and industry people were scarred by the legendary actor’s suicide this Monday.

Colleagues and actors Robin has inspired with his varied performances came out to say farewell and bid their respects to one of the most beloved and successful actors and comedians in the entertainment industry’s history.

Broadway also paid their tribute by dimming the lights to commemorate Williams’ amazing career, one that involved, theater, improv, stand-up comedy and of course major motion pictures. Williams will also be commemorated during the 66th edition of the Emmy's that will be held this August.

Emmy executive producer Don Mischer said that the award show will pay a meaningful tribute to the late actor while other organizers and nominees called him a comedic genius and an extremely talented actor.

Simon Pegg also mentioned Robin Williams at the premiere of his latest movie called “Hector and the Search for Happiness.” There, Pegg called Robin Williams one of his heroes and praised him as an amazing performer and human being. He also added that at least now people will treat depression with the seriousness it deserves.

Blizzard also paid their respects to the actor, who was known to be a computer games aficionado by thanking him for his contributions in a tweet.
