Brooke Burke-Charvet Leaves “Dancing With the Stars”
After seven seasons with the “Dancing With the Stars,” Brooke Burke-Charvet will not return for its 18th season as she was reportedly fired as co-host of the ABC dancing competition. Burke-Charvet revealed she was informed on Friday that she was fired after being a co-host of the show since Season 10.
She tweeted that the day was weird as she was eliminated prior to the start of the season.
Conrad Green, “Dancing With the Stars executive producer, confirmed the exit of Burke-Charvet. He indicated that she was a great part of the family of “Dancing With the Stars” after she won the seventh season of the show. He added that the entire team will miss her. Green also thanked Brooke for the services she provided to the show.
Reports revealed that Brooke Burke-Charvet was unaware of being in danger of losing her co-hosting job at the show until she was informed by the producers on Friday. She revealed through a statement that she enjoyed her seven seasons as co-host of the dancing competition and recognizes the need for the changes while taking into consideration the show’s current situation.
She added that she is a person who welcomes change and looks forward to pursuing other opportunities that she did not entertain due to her obligations to the dancing competition.
“Dancing With the Stars” has experienced a reduction in viewership over a number of seasons. The November finale last year was the lowest for the show as it earned a 2.4 rating with around 12.8 million viewers.
Prior to becoming a part of the show, Burke-Charvet was correspondent and hosted a number of specials and series at E! Among the most notable series that she hosted was the “Wild On” travel series.
Brooke Burke-Charvet also appeared on a number of shows, including “The Bernie Mac Show,” “Monk,” and “Las Vegas.”
