Bruno Mars’ Mom Passes Away At A Honolulu Hospital
The mother of Bruno Mars passed away at a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, a representative of the Grammy-winning singer revealed recently. Bernadette Hernandez was 55 years old when she succumbed to brain aneurysm.
The singer, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, was only four years old when he started to perform as an Elvis impersonator for his family. He moved to Los Angeles to become a writer and producer for other artists. However, he enjoyed much of his success in the past three years of his career.
He made his debut through Atlantic Records with his first album entitled, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans.” The album included the hit song of the singer, "Just The Way You Are.” Bruno Mars also won his first Grammy award as the 2010 best male pop vocal performance for 2010. The album also received Grammy nominations for the artist along with the hit song “Grenade” in 2011.
Two other hits "When I Was Your Man” and "Locked Out of Heaven" are on the second album of the artist, "Unorthodox Jukebox."
He was scheduled to go on tour on June 22. However, with the death of his mother, it remains uncertain if the concert tour of Bruno Mars will push through as scheduled.
