Captain & Tennille To End Marriage
Daryl Dragon and Toni Tennille, the Captain & Tennille singing duo, filed for divorce recently after around forty years of being together. Reports revealed Tennille filed for divorce on January 16 in Arizona from Dragon.
Dragon revealed on January 22 that he was caught unaware with the divorce filing by Tennille. He said he had no idea why she filed for divorce and said that they continue to live together. Dragon said he is trying to clear up everything first.
The couple travelled with the Beach Boys in the 1970s as keyboardists before they toured together as a duo. They released their initial album in 1975 entitled “Love Will Keep Us Together.” They also released a number of hit tracks including” The Way I Want To Touch You,” “Muskrat Love,” and “Do That To Me One More Time.”
Tennille announced through a blog post in September 2010 that Dragon experienced a neurological condition that is similar to Parkinson’s disease. The condition resulted to tremors that made playing the keyboard complicated. She indicated that there were days when he played well and other days when his condition will make it difficult for him to do it.
A message was posted on the website of the Captain & Tennille in connection to the divorce. It revealed that Toni Tennille talked with a divorce attorney on January 16 in Arizona. Prior to this, everything about the couple treated them as an ideal model for marriage.
The statement added that it was natural for people to change over time and some hidden feeling may start to emerge, as what happened to Captain & Tennille.
