Charlie Hunnam Apparently Quit Because Of The Salary
The internet is still buzzing with various rumors regarding the reasons that made British actor Charlie Hunnam quit his once-in-a-lifetime role as the Christian Grey in the big picture version of the hit book Fifty Shades of Grey.
The official story told by the actors representatives says that he quit the role because of scheduling conflicts, however, after some investigation, the declaration seems to be false as “Sons of Anarchy”, the biker themed TV show Hunnam is involved in will wrap filming its sixth season before filming for the Fifty Shades of Grey is supposed to begin.
Other rumors say that the blonde actor might have quit because of the little creative control he had over his character and the entire script. Hunnam, 25, has a bit of a reputation as a writer. In fact various sources confirm that the actor made several revisions to the script of the movie that where quite well received. The positive feedback gave Hunnam the opportunity to offer more input, creating some tension with “Fifty Shades of Grey” director, Sam Taylor-Johnson.
But most sources point out that the determining factor in Charlie Hunnam’s decision to quit the leading role was the financial side of the affair as he would be paid just $125,000.
