Chris Bosh Becomes A Free Agent

Chris Bosh exercised the early termination option of his contract with the Miami Heat. Henry Thomas, agent of Bosh, informed Pat Riley of the decision of the NBA star. Thomas is also the agent of Wade and Udonis Haslem. The two other players have also decided to become free agents recently.

Riley revealed through a press release that the team was informed of the intention of Bosh to opt-out of the contract. He has been considered a vital part of the championship success of the team, which is looking forward to meet with the player and his agent in the near future, the press release added.

The Big Three of the Miami Heat or LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh came together and discussed their future around a week ago. They would have more options if they become free agents, which was also beneficial for Miami.

After the three NBA stars became free agents, Riley was given financial flexibility to improve the roster of the team. Each player became a free agent over the past few days. After each player opted out of their contracts, a statement was released by the president of the Heat.

The statement of Riley indicated that the team was looking forward in meeting with the players as well as their respective representatives.

The scoring average of Chris Bosh has gradually decreased during the past four seasons. During his last season with Toronto, he averaged at 24 points per game. However, it decreased to 16.2 points per game in the last season. The same thing happened to his rebounding average, which dropped from 10.8 to 6.6 rebounds per game.

However, his shooting range improved even though he played out of position as the center of the team instead of the power forward. Chris Bosh is a key member of the Heat offense and is relied upon for key shots in a game.
