Chris Pine Arrested For DUI In New Zealand

Chris Pine, star of the immensely successful Star Trek saga has apparently been arrested in New Zealand for driving under the influence. The news came out this Wednesday and it appears that the 33-year-old actor will have to appear before a New Zealand court next Monday, on the 17th of March.

In a freshly released police report, the local police apparently arrested the 33-year-old American actor on March 1st for drunk driving near the city of Methven in New Zealand’s South Island. The police report did not officially include the actors name and both his agent and publicist could not yet be reached to comment on the situation.

Chris Pine was shooting his upcoming movie called Z for Zachariah in New Zealand. According to local sources, the young actor was celebrating the end of the shoot with his girlfriend, model Iris Bjork Johannesdottir on the 28th of February and apparently consumed more alcohol than he expect as his blood alcohol level the next day was over the .08 limit of the country.

Undisclosed sources say that the two were partying late into the night leaving the bar at around 02:30 a.m. The staff at the bar praised Pine saying that he was a model client and that his whole entourage behaved appropriately.
