Dad Puts Toddler Inside Washing Machine and Turns it On

In the video that showed a dad putting his toddler child in a washing machine and turning it on, everybody can question the father’s sanity.  Nobody would ever know the reason why these parents would do that to their kid.  It could be that they were trying to discipline the child for misbehaviour, which in that case, is clearly not so because the kid is just an eighteen-month-old toddler!  Another reason could be that perhaps the parents were just trying to be funny as there was a large sign hanging above that says “Junior Wash: $2.95.”  Whatever the reason was, the irresponsible action could have ended to tragedy.

In the silent footage from the Laundromat’s security camera, the dad scoops up the toddler and shoves him into the washing machine and shuts the door.  At first, it seems that he and the mom were amused, but when they realized they couldn’t get the washing machine door open, panic sets in.  The machine automatically locked and the child is trapped as the washer starts to run.  What is worse is that the machine automatically turns the water on for the wash.

The toddler tumbles helplessly while trapped in the machine and water pouring in while the parents struggle to open the locked machine door and then the dad rushes to search for help while the mom screams.  Finally, an attendant comes running and disables the machine.  However, it takes a few more seconds to get the door open and get the child out of the machine.

Luckily, the toddler just suffered a few bumps and bruises and is now doing ok.  There have been some several cases in the past involving washing machine incidents, some even resulted to deaths. A three-year-old kid was killed in France after his father put him in a washing machine to punish him.  In March, 18-month-old Ollie Hebb also drowned in a washing machine incident.
